Crock-Pot Dulce de Leche

If you have any type of slow cooker and a few hours, this is a definite must have for the occasional sweet tooth. If you're wondering what Dulce de leche is, click here for a link to it on Wikipedia.

First you'll need a Crock-Pot or slow cooker like the one below. Some large pans will work as well.

Next you'll need to get a can of sweetened condensed milk. Keep in mind that it has to be sweetened or the recipe won't work.

Take off the label or it'll come off while it cooks.

Next place the cans in the Crock-Pot and fill the pot with water until it just reaches the top of the cans.

Cover, turn the cooker on low and let it cook.

Cooking time can range from 8 to 12 hours. If you fail in the first batch, try again for a longer duration. After it's finished, you can let it cool off, open up the can, and on the inside you'll have delicious Dulce de leche.
